When I was in high school I made a vision board that hosted pictures of all the things I wanted to do, the person I wanted to become and words that I wanted to live by. I kept it on my desk as a reminder to stay focused and to be constantly looking at ‘my future’. I changed all of my computer passwords to places I wanted to travel to and even words that I wanted people to describe me as. I didn’t realize it then, but I was manifesting – I feel like the word gets thrown around a lot and is either intimidating or to woo-woo for people to investigate. But basically, manifestation is to bring something or someone into your physical life by thoughts, feelings and beliefs (sound crazy?).

What’s actually crazy, is that most of the things on my vision board have become my reality and I truly believe its because I willed them to. A few years later I started working with a life coach who really taught me how to consciously manifest…and again, everything that I put into the universe has happened. The power of positive thought and true belief that the universe has your back is incredible and evident. This is not about instant gratification, but rather playing the long game – manifest often and consistently and watch great things happen. Sold? Here’s how to get started:

Whether its creating a vision board or just having a constant reel in your head, its so important to be able to see your future. If you’re someone who wants to travel, collect pictures of beautiful places you want to visit, look at them often and picture yourself there. If you’re someone that wants to get in better shape, keep pictures of people’s bodies that you admire and literally picture you looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing the body of your dreams. Once you begin to see what you want clearly, it becomes easier to get there.

Keep a journal or lists of things you want and reference them often. When you write something down or say something out loud, it’s out there and more likely to be sent back.

Again, the clearer you get, the more likely you are to be focused on getting to where you want to be. If you want to live in a penthouse apartment on a certain block in a certain city, picture what it would be like waking up in that exact apartment. What color sheets are on your bed? When the shades go up, are you looking at water? What does your robe feel like when you put it on? How have you decorated everything? What do you make for breakfast, how does it smell? Are you with anyone?

You guys, I know this sounds crazy (haha) but I’m telling you, when it starts to work, you realize that the more specific you get, the more things start to fall into place to get you to where you want to be.

Once I really started manifesting, I realized how often I settled for what I thought was realistic vs. what is possible. Don’t limit yourself – if you want to make 5 million dollars a year, manifest that…don’t settle for the $50,000 that you think is more realistic so you can save yourself from disappointment. This is your DREAM life, treat it as such.

Manifestation is not about immediacy or timelines. I will say, I have had some experiences where I have manifested something and days later it shows up, but that’s not always the case. A lot of times, manifestation is about having faith that once you’ve put your dreams, goals, wants and needs out there, great things will happen. The path is not always going to be the one you intended on taking, but your faith and trust in the process is what matters. Don’t get discouraged when things don’t go your way, it is all leading you towards a greater end game.

Realize your dreams, manifest the shit out of them, but don’t forget to live for now, stay in the moment and be grateful for your past, present and future.

Do you girls manifest? Do you think I'm crazy yet? Let me know!

Love you, Mean It.
